Buying a home can be one of the most stressful things you do in your life.  It doesn't have to be that way but sadly it ends up being very stressful and for no reason.

Where do you start to look?  What Realtor do you choose?  These are very good questions and should be your first questions after you've gotten your finances in order and you've been pre-approved by your bank already.

Any good Realtor will ask you WHERE you want to live instead of what kind of house you want.  Once you've narrowed down what part of town or neighborhood you want to raise your family or retire in, you should NOW begin to look at the homes in that area in your price range.  If you've already searched online for homes in your desired location, tell your Realtor which homes you'd like to see and they will also have some suggested homes to look at.

BE REALISTIC!  You're probably not going to find your dream home the first day you look at homes.  You're probably not going to find that "move in ready" home you want.  Please be realistic.  Homes have flaws and wall colors that you would have never chosen!  These minor things can be changed, updated and painted over.  What you can't change is the LOCATION!  Please have patience and realistic in your expectations.  Your Realtor will help you find what you're looking for.

Please do not hesitate to contact us as we work very hard for our clients and want to find them the home they desire whether it's in Hattiesburg, Sumrall, Purvis, Petal or any other neighboring town.  We look forward to hearing from you soon.
